A busy month here. Our first Seattle event was right around the corner, Lauren had just gotten back from a mahjong festival in NYC, and the app was finally out in the world.
Our first Seattle event
Our first Seattle event was set for Monday, July 20 at The Collective Seattle: tables for open play, teachers on hand for newer players, drinks, and an app demo throughout. Marissa flew in from Charlotte, Lauren and Gaby hosted on their home turf, and Aishah was there in spirit. Here’s how it went.
Lauren at the NYC Mah Jongg Festival
Lauren just got back from the New York Jewish Mah Jongg Festival, hosted by Kveller and the team behind Modern Mahjong at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. It was the first festival of its kind in NYC, with over 300 players, classes at every level, tournament tables, panels on the Jewish American history of the game, and yes, a Manischewitz truck. A great room to be in.
Bam Dot Crack is out
The app is live on both the App Store and Google Play. Thanks to everyone who’s been playing and sending feedback, we’re using every note. New to it? Watch the 3-minute walkthrough.
